    Why a Wedding Album?

    Boise Summer Lightning Storm

    June 28, 2009

It was late at night and my roommates and I saw the flashes of light coming from outside so we ran outside to check it out. Surprisingly it wasn’t raining and after a few minutes the thought occurred to me that I should try to photograph the lightning. I quickly ran inside and grabbed my camera, tripod and headed out to get set up. Basically with lightning photography you have to aim your camera in the general direction that you think the lightning willl strike and hope you get lucky by having the shutter open at the time of the lightning strike. Below are my first attempts. Pretty much a lot of luck but I think I got some pretty sweet shots for being my very first time. Let me know what you think.

Wendy Lewis: Those are awesome! My husband was trying to get pics of lightening the other day here in OR, but they were pretty weak bolts. You caught them wonderfully!

Heidi: Great Shots, Luke! I've never tried this!

Holly walker: Luke, Incrediable shots of the storm. Amazing timing too. I would like a copy of the first one.

Jayme: These are beautiful! You have such a career ahead of you. The wedding pictures are amazingly good!

savannah: Luke these pictures are amazing! The second to last one is my favorite. You definitely know what you're doing.
